Campus hustle: Asmac students turn business in to survival

In a bid to break free from financial dependence, a resourceful student at the Advanced School of Mass Communication ASMAC, has turned to selling electronics and gadgets on campus.
Nsuh Benedict says the business has helped him cover personal expenses, including transport and assignments.
« I hate being too dependent on others, » he explained
« I noticed ASMAC students needed microphones, tripods, and other equipment, so I started selling. » said Benedict
Despite initial success, the student faces stiff competition from other vendors.

Benedict added that time is major a challenge he faces « ASMAC closes when markets do, making it tough to fulfill orders,from customers » worrying it affects his reputation.
Another students from the field of Advertising has been making profit through the sales of Customise bags, accessories ,perfumes just to name but this.
Selling goods on campus has helped her cover basic needs like transport, food, and assignment
« Poverty pushed me to start this business and time is a major challenge school runs from 7:30am to 6:30pm, making it tough to deliver goods on time. »said Songoua Charline.
According to them balancing business and studies is also taking time . « I often get home late after deliveries and can’t study »
Despite challenges, the students are determined to make the business work.
