ASMAC: Performance of final year students

In the first semester exam , Journalism 3 students of the Advanced School of Mass Communication performance varied widely among courses, based on results presented as percentages.

From the table above ,it can be seen that the strongest performance was recorded in African Communication with 94.11% followed by Enhanced Practical Sessions at 87.20% and Organization and Management of Newspaper Firms at 77.38%
These high results suggest that students performed best in areas that likely understood.
However, the results also show clear weaknesses. Specialised Information recorded 51.80%, while Information Organization and Management stands at 67.05%.
Together, these lowest scores indicate that students faced more difficulty with course content handling, organisation, and management.
Most notably, the gap between the highest and lowest performance is roughly 42.31% .This difference highlights where teaching adjustments may be most needed in the next semester
